For couples and families
One household net worth, with each person's room kept separate
A household tracker should add up everyone's money in one view but keep each person's contribution room separate, because TFSA, RRSP and FHSA room belongs to one person under CRA rules and is never pooled. Looniee Plus tracks up to 6 people under one login: every account is labelled with its owner, you see the household together or one person at a time, and each person's room is worked out on its own.

Why a couple's room can't be one number
Net worth adds up across a household. Contribution room doesn't. Each adult has their own TFSA room, their own RRSP deduction limit from their own income, and their own FHSA. Two people who were both 18 or older in 2009 and have never contributed have up to $109,000 of TFSA room each in 2026, but one of them over-contributing is that person's problem, and the 1% monthly tax is charged to them alone.
That's where shared spreadsheets go wrong: one “TFSA” column for the household, or one person's deposits landing in the other's tab. The fix is to keep accounts attributed to their owner and work out room per person, then add the money up for the household view.
What the household view shows
- Household net worth, and how many of the 6 places are in use.
- Each person's net worth and their share of the household total, from the accounts they own.
- Shared assets such as a home or a car, entered as manual assets, shown as a household line rather than credited to one person.
- Registered room left for each person (TFSA, RRSP, FHSA), with a flag on any account that's over.
- You can view the household together or switch to one person at a time.
Setting it up
- Add each person in the Planner with their birth year and residency. Room starts from those.
- Give every account an owner when you add or import it. Net worth and room both follow the owner.
- Import each person's broker files, for example from Wealthsimple or Questrade. The last import screen offers to add each file's TFSA, RRSP and FHSA deposits and withdrawals to the Planner, matched to the account's owner.
- Check each person's room left against their own CRA My Account once the year's reports are in.
What it doesn't do
- No separate logins. There are no invitations, shared logins or per-person permissions: whoever holds the login sees every account. The free plan tracks one person.
- Joint accounts aren't split. Every account has one owner, so a joint non-registered account counts toward one person (or is left unassigned) rather than being divided between you.
- It doesn't give advice on who should contribute where. It shows each person's room and holdings so the two of you can decide.
Free and Plus
The free plan tracks one person, for up to 3 accounts, 10 holdings and 500 transactions, with every tracking feature working. Looniee Plus (CA$9 a month, or CA$72 a year) adds the household, up to 6 people, and lifts the caps. If you stop paying, nothing is deleted: the extra people are hidden until you resubscribe. See pricing for the full comparison, or try the free TFSA tracker for one person first.
Start free with one person, then add your household on Plus (CA$9 a month or CA$72 a year).
